Buck Poll

The "Virtual Buck Pole" is our place to post pics and collect info from the fine deer the CHLHA has to offer during bow, rifle, and smoke pole seasons. This is much more than a "bragging grounds." The intent of this buck poll will be an interesting, informative way to keep a record of how our bucks are doing in terms of weight and antler growth. Hopefully we can start to see the effects of QDM on our herd over the years. So don't think you have to have a monster to send in info. We want as much info as we can get, be proud of your harvest!

Please measure the distance between each beam at the widest point (outside spread) and longest tine. Also include the number of points (1 inch minimum from point of extrusion,) and weight of dressed animal (see if that planting is working!) Finally, we all want to hear the story of how the big one didn't get away this year, and if the "30 point buck" had a brother.

Send me the information and the pictures via email or "snail mail" before December 31.

I am hoping in the future, to get a sponsorship for prizes. Perhaps we should vote to pitch in a few dollars collected as part of the CHLHA dues for the prizes /motivation to help the QDM cause? Any ideas are welcome.
